"Ferguson plans to work with both progressives and conservatives who truly want to support workers through fair wages and policies, building an economy that works for everyone."
MANISTEE, Mich. – I’m really disappointed that our current U.S. Congressman Bergman turned out to be an extreme Washington D.C. insider. For example, on his facebook page he says Democrats “stifle the flames of freedom and innovation.”
What? Democrats ensure freedom to keep our jobs if we get sick, to health insurance for pre-existing conditions, and to public funding for roads and things we can actually use (instead of for hand-outs to the wealthy). In our district, Democrats innovate to expand our economy into wind power and high-value sustainable farming. During the pandemic, Democrats kept small businesses afloat by innovating to get enough money for unemployed workers, so people actually have cash to spend.
The problem with extremist politicians like Bergman is that they can’t compromise to make good, economically and socially responsible policies. His voting record in Congress is terrible. In contrast, his opponent Dana Ferguson is intelligent and thoughtful about compromise and national unity. Ferguson plans to create local jobs by re-building our crumbling infrastructure and supporting local farms and small businesses.
Most importantly, Ferguson plans to work with both progressives and conservatives who truly want to support workers through fair wages and policies, building an economy that works for everyone.
Don’t be fooled by wealthy insider politicians like Bergman. Dana Ferguson is an excellent choice to represent our district this November.
